Panasonic – the Japanese multinational electronics company has just announced its latest mid-range smartphone, touted as the Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 Smartphone. This budget-friendly smartphone comes with some interesting features and specs, such as dual rear camera and 3 gigabytes of RAM. The smartphone will begin shipping on September 21.
Let us see what the smartphone has to offer, firstly talk about the main highlights and notable features, which I mentioned earlier. The main highlight of the phone is a dual rear camera setup (13MP + 8MP sensors) at the back of the device with the support for dual LED flash. While on the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Another notable feature is, of course, battery capacity; the phone houses a massive and powerful 4,000mAh battery.
In terms of specification, the phone comes with a 5 inches Full HD display that carries the support for 720 × 1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs on the seventh generation Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box and it is powered by the MediaTek MTK6737 quad core processor, which is having a clock frequency of 1.25 GHz. On the storage front, the phone packs 3 gigabytes of RAM along with 32 gigabytes of internal storage with the option to expand further with the help of a microSD card (up to 128GB).
Moving on the connectivity, the Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 Smartphone has come with the support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G VoLTE connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone measure’s at 144.26×71.26×9.2mm and weighs 163 grams. There is also a fingerprint sensor for added security, which is placed in Home button. The phone will available for purchase on September 21 in different colour options, including Mocha Gold, Marine Blue, and Champagne.
