Corsair has launched its new flagship Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The K95 RGB keyboard combines an anodized aluminum frame with the very latest keyboard technologies. The stylish aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum frame of the keyboard will withstand a lifetime of gaming and with all Corsair mechanical keyboards, uses only Cherry MX key switches.
It is a full size mechanical keyboard with a number pad, six textured and programmable G-keys for in-game macros, and dedicated media controls. The media keys are also now wedge-shaped instead of flat.
Keyboard sports a hardware playback and 8GB of onboard memory, which allows gamers to save not just custom key assignment and macros to memory, but also more complex and multi-layer reactive profiles without the need for any external software. The lighting patterns can be customized in the Corsair Utility Engine, which lets you select specific shades if you want multiple colors and different lighting patterns.
“Set up profiles and custom key assignment for three onboard profiles in Corsair Utility Engine CUE, save them to memory, and then use the K95 RGB Platinum with all your custom lighting and key controls on any system,” Corsair said.
The keyboard features a textured and contoured FPS and MOBA keycaps sets. Other features included 100 percent anti-ghosting with full key rollover, USB 2.0 pass through, and a detachable, dual-sided soft-touch wrist rest. Corsair has also added an “X” arrangement of two-cable channels molded into the underside of the keyboard.
Corsair said that the K95 RGB Platinum will be available this month in choice of black or gunmetal anodized finishes. Keyboard with gunmetal finish will be available in North America with Cherry MX speed switches. The company has not announced the price detail yet.
