Dell has released a new 24-inch WQHD gaming monitor ‘S2417DG’ to its range. The new S2417DG is a smaller version of its 27-inch sibling that released last year, albeit with one big difference: a step up to a 165Hz refresh rate. The monitor also features support for NVIDIA’s G-Sync tech, which should mean gamers won’t see any screen tearing when paired with an NVIDIA graphics card.

The S2417DG boasts viewing angles of 160 degrees vertical and 170 degrees horizontal, along with a rated 1ms response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, and an 82 percent color gamut.

Dell constructed the new S2417DG with an ultrathin bezel in case you want to roll with a multi-monitor setup. The stand is fully ergonomic, offering height, pivot, tilt and swivel adjustments to be made. It also includes a quick-release mechanism that you can use to remove stand from the monitor and you will then see 100x100mm VESA mounting holes, if you wish to use another monitor mount or another stand or monitor arm for this display. The OSD can be controlled via controls on the right side of the bottom bezel and over there, you’ll also find a lighted power button.

Connectivity consists of HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2. It also has a single USB 3.0 upstream port and four USB 3.0 downstream ports (two on the side and two on the bottom), with an audio line-out jack.

The 24-inch S2417DG is available now direct from Dell for $470.
